 ITIL – asset and configuration management is the process of Management Asset is responsible for tracking and reporting the value and ownership of financial assets throughout the cycle of their activities.

Configuration management is the process responsible for maintaining information about configuration items that are necessary to provide the service, including their relationships. This information is managed throughout the life cycle of the CI.
